Monthly Meeting(s): The Deacon and Deaconess Boards are scheduled to meet Sunday, October 12, 2025, following the Morning Worship Service. The Elder Board meeting will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 7:00 pm at the church. The Trustee Board is scheduled to meet next Sunday, October 19, 2025, following the Morning Worship Service.
Candidate Forum: Sunday, October 12, 2025, we will be having lunch after the Morning Worship Service. Sandwich fixings will be provided. Please bring a salad or dessert to share. Following the lunch, we will have a Candidate Forum where members of the congregation can ask questions of Jasper and Lan Massey. Everyone is encouraged to join us.
Congregational Meeting: Our Quarterly Congregational Meeting will be on Sunday, October 19, 2025, following the Morning Worship Service. We will be taking a vote on calling Jasper Massey to be Pastor of CBCBC at this meeting. All members are encouraged to attend this important meeting.
Nursing Home Service: CBCBC will be conducting the Worship Service at Northern Pines Rehab and Nursing Home next Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 3:00 pm. Anyone who is interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Gary.
Food Pantry: CBCBC will be facilitating the food distribution at the Harvest Food Pantry on Thursday, October 23 at 4:00 pm and Friday, October 24 at 9:00 am. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Diana or Lorrie.
Operation Christmas Child: Please check out the table in the Fellowship Hall for OCC. There are boxes available for those who would like to pack a shoebox. You may also add donated items to the totes on and under the table. National Collection Week is November 11 – 17, 2025. If anyone is interested in facilitating a packing party and/or taking the packed boxes to Shelby during Collection Week, please see Bernice or Janet.
