Our Purpose Statement

Whether, then, you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God.

(1 Corinthians 10:31, NASB)

At Cut Bank Community Bible Church, we view our purpose for existence, both as individuals and as the local body of Christ, to glorify our triune God in all of life’s activities. This is summarized in our three main goals: to worship God, to walk with God, and to witness to others about God.

Worship:

We seek to glorify God in our worship. It is our desire to genuinely praise the greatness of God as we meet corporately to sing songs of praise to Him, to increase in our knowledge of Him and His grace through the preaching and teaching of His Word, and by confidently approaching the throne of grace in prayer such that we receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need.   (John 4:24; 17:17;   Psalm 119:89; 1 Peter 1:25; Hebrews 4:16).

Walk:

We seek to glorify God in our daily walk with Him. It is our desire to actively participate in the process of change as we are transformed by the Holy Spirit into the likeness of Jesus Christ, responding in conscious, joyful obedience to Jesus’ commands to love the Lord God with all our heart, soul, and mind and to love our neighbors as ourselves. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18; Ephesians 4:22-24 Matthew 22:37-40; 1 John 5:1-4; Amos 3:3; Micah 6:8).

Witness:

We seek to glorify God in our witness. It is our desire to live in such a way that brings glory to God and to intentionally share the glorious gospel of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with the unsaved, trusting Him to call people to Himself as He continues His works of redemption and sanctification in the world. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Titus 2:11-14).
